Lil loves Art so I was super excited when I came across these free Art lessons for children based on the works of different famous Artists. (Sign up here )
Today was lesson one based on Picasso’s Dogs which was fantastic for us as we visited the Tate Modern in London last week and viewed some of his work there.
(View lesson 1 )
We watched the video once to get an idea of what to do and so we could collect materials. Then we watched it again and paused it when following instructions.
Her finished piece of art
What was interesting was the reluctance, or a better word may be hesitation to step outside the box. Then once she did her whole face lit up at not having to follow the rules of a traditional portrait. …..ever the non conformist my child 🙂
We are going to follow-up with looking at more of Picasso’s paintings and life before lesson two next week.
